CAN I DO THE UPDATES & MAINTENANCE MYSELF?
Of course you can, and if your website was built by us we include 24/7 support for answers from our Support staff on duty. We also make it very clear though that on-going education and support is often required as this can be a steep learning curve for most, especially if this is your first Joomla or WordPress website.
If you do invest in educating yourself in this area, have the time & discipline to carry out these tasks on a regular basis and have the skills necessary to restore your site should issues arise, then you may only need little or no support from us at all (go you!).

WHAT IS INVOLVED WITH THE FULL WEBSITE BACKUP?
We ensure facilities are in place to automatically back-up your site on regularly intervals, giving you peace of mind that your site and content are fully protected. When performing maintenance and updates we will also do an additional manual back-up so its on hand should any issues arise during your scheduled maintenance.
In addition to your back-ups being stored on your server (or 3rd party storage option) we will also store back-up files on our personal storage hard drives.
Please note : Only the most recent back-up set will be stored on our personal hard drives; older ones will be deleted each time maintenance work is carried out. While all precautions are taken to safeguard these back-ups sets we do not guarantee their safety and therefore strongly urge all customers to also download and store them periodically.
WHAT DO THE SOFTWARE UPDATES INVOLVE?
This includes updating your Joomla or WordPress core, plugins & theme/s when new releases become available as well as a compatibility check.
Please Note:
– We will only update plugins that are compatible with your installed version of Joomla or WordPress
– We will only perform theme updates if a child theme in place
As mentioned we will do a compatibility check but it is your responsibility to inform us if you notice that your website is not working properly after updates are performed. Should this occur we will restore your website to how it was before the update (no extra charge).

Security & Malware scan is the process of deep scanning the website to prevent or remove malware and or virus infection. It is accomplished using several anti malware software applications. This process involves multiple tools and techniques to identify the malware or viral infection
We check your website for Security & Malware violations and we make sure facilities are in place to reduce vulnerabilities which helps prevent issues. Should we happen to find any issues beyond the standard service, you will be notified immediately to discuss your options.
